Maryland Route 495 is a north/south route located in the U.S. state of Maryland. The route is named Swanton Road south of Swanton,[1][2] and Bittinger Road north of Swanton.[1][3] Maryland Route 495 runs from Maryland Route 135 near Swanton, Garrett County north to U.S. Route 40 Alternate in Grantsville, Garrett County. [4]

This route shares its number with the Washington Beltway (I-495),[5] though the two routes are sufficiently distant that there is little risk of confusion.[1]
