The Maryland State Lottery Agency runs that state's lottery system, offering a variety of scratch-off ticket games and such numbers games as Keno, Pick 3, and Pick 4. Maryland also participates in the multistate Mega Millions lottery. The agency, which was created in 1973, distributes about 57% of its revenue as prizes and contributes more than 30% of funds to state-funded programs for education, human resources, and public health. (Some proceeds from the Mega Millions game also go to the Maryland Stadium Authority, which oversees several facilities, including Camden Yards, home of Major League Baseball's Baltimore Orioles.)
