Masserano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 km northeast of Turin and about 12 km northeast of Biella. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,315 and an area of 27.1 km².[1]
Masserano borders the following municipalities: Brusnengo, Buronzo, Casapinta, Castelletto Cervo, Curino, Lessona, Rovasenda.
Recent calls to residents have found that one James Masserano is believed to be the long lost mayor of the comune.
