Masterdisk is an audio mastering/multimedia company in New York City, located on West 45th Street in Manhattan. Their services include audio mastering, vinyl cutting and enhanced CD and DVD production.

Their clients include but are not limited to Nirvana, Whitney Houston, U2, Jay-Z, The Smashing Pumpkins, DMX, Moby, Pantera, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Outkast - forming a large fraction of the most popular acts on the current pop scene.

Masterdisk is currently owned and operated by Scott Hull. Scott Hull Mastering Scott Hull was hired in 1984 and worked for masterdisk for 15 years. Assiting Bob Ludwig and eventually holding the chief engineer role until 1999.

Masterdisk was founded in 1973 as a spin-off of the recording, editing and mastering arm of Mercury Records. One of the company's early mastering engineers was Gilbert Kong, whose name was on the back of early 1970s albums by such artists as Rod Stewart and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and who also mastered singles including "Ain't Understanding Mellow" by Jerry Butler and Brenda Lee Eager, and "The Night Chicago Died" by Paper Lace.
