Biography

Chicago singer/songwriter Matt Marque creates understated indie pop with an emphasis on clever lyrics and deft guitar playing. His first release was a homemade, cassette-only collection of songs called Lightbulb, Fork, String. In 2001, he was signed to the Truckstop label and released Get There. Three years later, Marque issued the follow-up, 2004's excellent Nothing Personal, again on Truckstop. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
