Maurice Jaubert
Biography
During the 1930s, Maurice Jaubert was one of the finest, most important film composers in France. His soundtracks were respected for their sparseness and mood-enhancing subtlety and he worked with some of the era's best filmmakers including Rene Clair and Julien Duvivier. He was killed while fighting in WW II.
