Maurice Silverstein was an international film distributor who later became president of MGM International. As president, he indirectly had his hand in the creation of a number of films, without actually receiving any type of credit for them, including the classics Dr. Zhivago and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Silverstein died in 1999, at the age of 89. ~ Rovi
