Biography

Cellist Maxine Neuman has performed solo and chamber works internationally and recorded for various record labels including Columbia, CRI, Opus One, EMI, Sony and Vanguard. Neuman has recorded the works of Amy Beach, the chamber works of Arnold Rosner, and Schumann's Cello Concerto. She has also performed Astor Piazzolla's tango music with Albert Regni, and played the works of Robert Stern. Neuman has been a member of the Brave Early Music Ensemble, the Bennington Cello Quartet, the Walden Trio, the Crescent String Quartet and more. She has served as a faculty member at Bennington College, Williams College, and in New York at Harlemville's Steiner School, and NYC's School for Strings. ~ Joslyn Layne, All Music Guide
