May's Drug Stores operates about three dozen pharmacies under the May's Drug and Drug Warehouse banners mostly in Oklahoma but also in southwestern Missouri. Founded in 1937 by Isadore Heller and Harry Ludmeyer, the chain (family-owned for 67 years) was acquired in 2004 by the USA Drug chain of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, which is owned and operated by Stephen L. LaFrance Pharmacy. USA Drug, which operates in five southern states, operates more about 150 locations under eight different banners, including May's Drug and Drug Warehouse.
