Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies is a Chabad-Lubavitch yeshiva located in Makor Baruch, Jerusalem, Israel. Its faculty and student body are mostly American, and the yeshiva is targeted towards American baalei teshuva (Jews who "rediscover" Orthodox Judaism later in life). The institute began with the men's yeshiva division but has recently added a women's seminary division as well.

Educational philosophy
In addition to standard yeshiva subjects, such as Talmud and Halakha (Jewish Law), Mayanot emphasizes Chabad Hasidic philosophy and similar subjects.

Accreditation
Mayanot is recognized by the College Consortium for International Studies, and is accredited school for higher learning through the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, New Jersey. The Rabbinical College of America is accredited by the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education and by AARTS (Association of Advanced Rabbinical and Talmudic Schools).

Mayanot synagogue
Mayanot also maintains a community synagogue in Nachlaot, Jerusalem. Situated in the center of New Jerusalem, the site was originally purchased by leaders of the ancient Yemenite Jewish community. The structure was completed in 1919, encompassing two synagogues and a large house of study. During Israel's War of Independence, the building stood in the heart of the Jewish resistance.
Other Mayanot programs
Through its affiliates, the Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies offers a Taglit-birthright Israel trip, an executive learning seminar, a synagogue in Jerusalem, and is a full-fledged Israeli tour provider.
