Son of Mórrígan. According to the Dindshenchas, Mac Cécht killed him on the River Barrow. Mechi was revealed to have three hearts, each with a serpent in it, which could have caused disaster for Ireland if they were not stopped. Mac Cécht burned him and threw the ashes into the river.
