MedAssurant, Inc. is an American health care data analytics company based in Bowie, Maryland.[1]
Founded in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1998, the company focuses on developing tools that enable rapid health care data aggregation and validation from medical facilities for clients that include health-insurance plans, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and regulatory agencies. MedAssurant uses the aggregated data to help customers to manage risk and identify more cost-efficient care options.
MedAssurant focuses on four main areas of operation, which include claims and payment integrity, disease management, clinical and quality outcomes and health care data intelligence.[2]
MedAssurant changed the name to Inovalon on 5/8/2012.
