This three-disc set is a marvelous way to get all the essential tracks by the Drifters ("There Goes My Baby," "On Broadway," "Up on the Roof," "Sweets for My Sweet," "Under the Boardwalk"), the Coasters ("Searchin'," "(Down At) Papa Joe's," "Charlie Brown," "Soul Pad"), and Ben E. King ("Spanish Harlem," "Stand By Me") in one wonderful package. Since most of everything here was helmed by the great songwriting and production team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, the sequencing is seamless, and these sides feel like they have always belonged together.
