Meez is a social network service based in San Francisco, CA.
Meez was developed by Donnerwood Media as an "online entertainment" web service. Meez was founded by Sean Ryan, former VP of Music Services of Real Networks. Meez's CEO, John Cahill, is a former Yahoo executive. Meez launched on March 28, 2006. Currently, Meez has 3 million unique users, who average around three hours per month on the site. There are 13 million registered Meez users, 90% of which are in the United States.[1] Meez advertisers have included Nike, Rocawear, the NBA, and the NHL.[2]

Each 'hood is a collection of thematic public hangouts that users can explore. These hoods range from indoor dance clubs, pubs, shops and haunted houses, to snowy woods and hot beaches in MeezNation. Such as: Burbia, Meez Hills, Hell's Kitchen, Chillville, Uptown, Posh Heights, Dockyards, Arcadia, and Outlandia.
MeezMaker is where you can change your avatar in his/her appearance and how it is presented to the public.
Meez Coinz is the currency on Meez, some items in MeezMaker are free, premium items are free too. You may also get animations that have been spread out through the Meez Nation using meez coinz.
Users can create up to three (3) personal rooms using the RoomzMaker that they then assign to a particular ‘hood. Users can customize these spaces by choosing among various themes, walls, floors, and items. Some items are free, while other RoomzMaker options require Meez's Coinz currency. Once a room has been created and assigned to a hood it can then be shared with friends or promoted publicly in the ‘hood personal Roomz list.
Meez Forums is a place where Meezerz can discuss about the latest Meez News and also create tutorials and suggestions.
