Game Description

One of the few Activision titles that makes substantive improvements over its Atari VCS counterpart, MegaMania for the Atari 5200 has sharper graphics, making the cookies, tires, diamonds and other items to shoot recognizable as such. The usually notorious Atari 5200 joysticks are never a problem, making gameplay thoroughly enjoyable.

Roots & Influences

Space Invaders (Arcade, 1978) was the first shooter in which you maneuver a ship horizontally along the bottom of the screen while firing upon advancing invaders. MegaMania was first available for the Atari 2600.
