McCauley got her professional start singing country music at the age of 6—as Megan Ashley—performing at county fairs in Ohio and releasing albums, [1][dead link] Within a few years she moved to Orlando, Florida began writing her own songs, eventually changing her style from country to rock.
She was signed by Wind-up Records and in 2004 they included one of her songs on the Elektra soundtrack and two others on the Fantastic Four soundtrack. Also that year, she released a self-titled EP.
McCauley's song "Porcelain Doll" appeared in the 2008 Disney movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua.[2]
McCauley is currently in the process of writing her sophomore album.[3]
