Meilutė Julija Lukšienė–Matjošaitytė (August 20, 1913 Vienna, Austria - October 16, 2009 Vilnius, Lithuania) was a Lithuanian cultural historian and activist.[1] She was a founding member of the Sąjūdis, a political organization which advocated for the independence of Lithuania from the Soviet Union during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Meilė Lukšienė died on October 16, 2009 in Vilnius, Lithuania, at the age of 97.[1]
