History

The "All 1" moved to an old Cable factory in 1999 when its previous site at the "Allende Virtel" was redeveloped for housing.

The "All 1" planned a sports and teens project and won the 1999 & 2000 city contest "Teens build the new Berlin".

2001 got the "All 1" a place next to an old Cable factory with circa 1ha of land.

The Mellowpark grew very fast and is now the biggest Outdoor Skaterpark in Europe.

Today the Mellowpark is used by more than 20.000 people a year. The youth welfare office sponsors the Mellowpark with over 75.000 € (115.000 US$) yearly.

The "Berner Group" a private investor bought the place next to the Mellowpark and planned a project for Lofts, the only term is to close the Mellowpark because noone would buy a loft next to a skaterpark.

6. June 2008 Despite 2 demonstrations and a 1 year long petition collection, the "City Berlin" decided that the Mellowpark will Close on December 31, 2008. [2]

On June 24, 2008, the City of Berlin decided to give the Mellowpark a new good home, which will be opposite the football stadium of 1. FC Union Berlin.
