Changes since the election
- William Hay was elected Speaker of the Assembly at its first sitting.
- George Dawson (DUP, East Antrim) died on 7 May 2007[1] and was replaced by Alastair Ian Ross.
- Gerry McHugh resigned from Sinn Fein and became an independent on 2007-12-03.[2]
