The Law of Segregation—refers to the separation into different gametes, and therefore into different offspring, of the two members of every pair of alleles possessed by a parent. Law 2 The Law of Independent Assortment—refers to the members of different pairs of alleles which are assorted independently into gametes, and that pairing of male and female gametes is a random activity.
