Review
The original issue of this classic was subtitled Intimate Christmas Music for Lovers, and with five of the dozen tracks featuring the smoothest of the smooth vocalists, Charles Brown, that subtitle is appropriate. Other King artists represented here are bluesmen Lowell Fulson and Jimmy Witherspoon and Lloyd Glenn on "Sleighride" doing a swinging piano workout. Mabel Scott's original jumping "Boogie-Woogie Santa Claus" can be found here. ~ Dennis MacDonald, All Music GuideTracks
