Mersey made their stylistic allegiances plain not only with their name (the Mersey is the river which runs through Liverpool; the local music scene was often dubbed the Mersey Sound during the early days of the British Invasion) but with the Beatlesque matching suits and pudding-bowl haircuts they wear on the back cover of their sole release, 1996's Stepping Out Tomorrow.
