Michael Caton-Jones (born Michael Jones; 15 October 1957)[1] is the director of such films as Scandal, Rob Roy, Memphis Belle and The Jackal. Caton-Jones was born in Broxburn, Lothian, Scotland.

Education
He attended to St Marys Academy in Bathgate, and trained at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, Bucks, UK.
Family life
Jones married Beverly Caton and both changed their surnames to Caton-Jones. They have 2 daughters, Daisy, born while he was attending film school and Molly born in 1990. Jones and Caton later divorced and in 2000 he married Laura Viederman whom he has 2 children with, Romy and Charlie.Caton Jones is a lifelong Celtic FC supporter.
Awards
His film Basic Instinct 2 won several Razzies at the 2007 ceremony.
