Michael Fairman (born February 25, 1934) is an American actor, director and writer best known for his various roles during his long career, which started when he was 37 years old. This includes the role of Nick Sczabo on the daytime drama Ryan's Hope from 1975 to 1980, in his recurring role as Department Inspector Knelman on Cagney & Lacey, and is currently playing the recurring role of Patrick Murphy on CBS's daytime drama The Young and the Restless.
