Michael McRobbie (born October 11, 1950) is the eighteenth president of Indiana University. He took office on July 1, 2007.

Before his appointment as president, McRobbie served as interim provost and vice president of academic affairs of the Bloomington campus. Prior to this, he held the position of vice president for research and vice president for information technology.[1] His focus is on increasing external funding for programs and research. He has been a driving force in securing millions of dollars in grants for life science initiatives.[2]

McRobbie is from Melbourne, Australia. He is a widower and recently married Laurie Burns. He has three children and three stepchildren.
