Biography

New York-based folk-pop singer/songwriter Michael Shelley made his solo debut in 1997 with Half Empty; early the following year, he also teamed with Scotland's Francis McDonald in the duo Cheeky Monkey, issuing the LP Four Arms to Hold You. Michael Shelley is a New York based singer-songwriter. He has released 5 albums. He has opened tours in the USA for They Might Be Giants, Shonen Knife & Marshall Crenshaw, in Japan. Some members of Belle & Sebastian have played on his records & with him live on UK tours. Michael Shelley is also a DJ at freeform radio station WFMU, known for his weekly interviews with musicians.
