Vehe, Michael (Biberach, c.1485-1593, Halle/Saale), a Dominican monk, was in the service of the Archbishop of Mainz and was later provost (Probst) in Halle. He opposed the Reformation in polemical writings and compiled a Catholic hymn-book (Gesangbüchlein, 1537) as a counterpart to Protestant hymnals.
