Micheal O'Siadhail

O'Siadhail, Micheal (1947- ), poet; born in Dublin, he was educated at Clongowes Wood, then TCD and the University of Oslo before becoming a Lecturer in Irish at TCD, 1969-73. He joined the DIAS, and became Assistant Professor (1980-7). An Bhliain Bhisigh (1978) was followed by Runga (1980) and Cumann (1982). Springnight (1983), The Image Wheel (1985), and The Chosen Garden (1990) were collections in English, and Hail! Madam Jazz (1992) includes translations from the volumes in Irish. A Fragile City (1995) was followed by Our Double Time (1998).
