Michele Rollins (née Metrinko) was a candidate for the Republican Party nomination for the United States House of Representatives election in 2010, in Delaware's At-large congressional district, a race she narrowly lost to Glen Urquhart[1]
The seat was vacated by Mike Castle, who announced his retirement from the House to pursue his unsuccessful run for Vice President Joe Biden's former Senate seat.[2][3]
Rollins held the Miss District of Columbia USA 1963 title and placed first runner-up to Marite Ozers in the Miss USA 1963 pageant held on 19 July.[4] Her sister Marsha competed in the same pageant as Miss Maryland USA.[5] In September she won the Miss World USA title representing New York.[6] On November 7 she represented the United States in the Miss World 1963 pageant in London and placed in the top fiffteen semi finials.
