Structure

Midlands 2 East (North) is made up of teams from around the East Midlands of England who play home and away matches throughout a winter season. As with many lower level leagues they are often subject to re-structure

Promoted teams move up to Midlands 1 East. The first placed team gains automatic promotion, with the second placed team entering into a one off playoff match against the second placed team from Midlands 2 East (South) to decide the final promotion place. The bottom two teams are relegated to Midlands 3 East (North) and replaced by the top two placed teams from that division.

2011-2012 Teams

The RFU have released the provisional lineup for the 2011-2012 season, and the teams are as follows:

2010-2011 Teams

Market Rasen and Louth have won the league this season and are promoted to Midlands 1 East as champions for the season 2011/2012. Loughborough finished second and also gained promotion by beating Peterborough Lions, who placed 2nd in Midlands 2 East (South) in the promotion playoff.

Lincoln and Ashby finished in the bottom two positions and have therefore been relegated for the coming season.
