Composer/keyboardist Jonn Serrie is quietly becoming a major player in the contemporary instrumental music genre. Mixing memorable, melodic pop songs with less-structured ambient compositions, Serrie creates a romantic soundscape on his fifth Miramar release, Midsummer Century. Songs like Jimmy Webb's classic "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" and his own "Lookback" represent Serrie's love of traditional pop melodies and rhythms.
