Miguel A. Núñez, Jr. (born August 11, 1964) is an American actor. He is best known for his supporting roles in The Return of the Living Dead and Life and a leading role in Juwanna Mann.
Miguel was born in New York City to a father of Dominican descent and a African-American mother, he was rasied by his grandparents in North Carolina. On an October 3, 2008 episode of the Mo'Nique radio show, Núñez explained how his start in Hollywood began with a five-day bus ride from his home in North Carolina to Los Angeles. Having no arranged job and no friends and relatives, Núñez spent three weeks sleeping in alleys and movie theaters. His first television role came when, while riding the city bus, he learned of a nearby commercial casting call. Later that day, Núñez arrived at the casting call, borrowed a resume from another actor, auditioned and was awarded the role. He used this experience to schedule an audition for his role in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning. His first major screen role was the supporting role of Spider in The Return of the Living Dead, and his first major starring role was that of Marcus Taylor on the CBS series Tour of Duty, where he was a main cast member for all three seasons of the show. He was later a star on the UPN show Sparks as well as in movies such as Juwanna Mann. Miguel also held the recurring role of Zach in the second season of the Friends spinoff, Joey.
