In 1788 he executed a plate for the Descripci?n hist?rica del Obispado de Osma (Madrid, 1788) by Juan Loperr?ez Corval?n. His published portraits include those for Icones et descriptiones plantarum (Madrid, 1791-1801) by Antonii Jos?phi Cavanilles. The most important of his numerous religious prints are V?a Crucis (e.g. Madrid, Bib. N.), after a drawing by Vicente L?pez y Porta?a, and St Lawrence (1812). His series of 18 plates for Los 'gritos' de Madrid (Madrid, 1817) was the most important of the many illustrations of contemporary habits and customs (costumbrismo) produced during the 19th century. His last known work is the lithograph (1827) he made after one of Murillo's versions of St Joseph Leads the Light of the World by the Hand.
