Miguel Induráin

Induráin, Miguel (Miguel Angel Induráin-Larraya) (mēgĕl' äng'khāl ĭndūrä'ēn), 1964-, Spanish bicycle racer. In a career lasting from 1985 to 1997, he dominated European racing, winning the Tour de France, the sport's best-known competition, five years in row (1991-95), becoming the first to win that many consecutively. Induráin was noted for his leg power and excelled in short time trials; he won the gold medal in the time trial at the 1996 Summer Olympic games.
