Michael Maloney born February 13, 1956 is a precious metals investor,[1] serial entrepreneur,[2] author,[3] and a recognized historian on monetary history and economics.[4] He's been the precious metal investment advisor for Robert Kiyosaki since 2005,[2] author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. He is the author of Rich Dad's Advisors: Guide To Investing in Gold and Silver.

Personal life

Mike Maloney was born in Salem, Oregon, and grew up in Los Angeles, CA area.[5] He dropped out of school at 10th grade due to problems with dyslexia.

At 17 he travelled the Western United States selling auto equipment. At age 23 he started his own sales firm, Maloney & Associates. The company went out of business.[citation needed]

In the 1980s, Maloney became a designer and manufacturer of high end stereo equipment, winning several engineering and industry awards[citation needed]. In 1992, his stereo amplification electronics was selected as one of five permanent exhibits at the royal Victoria & Albert Museum [6] in London.

In the 1990s, he launched a successful high-end audio design and manufacturing firm known as "T.H.E. Show".[7] In 2005 Maloney incorporated Gold and Silver, Inc. In 2010, he incorporated Mikemaloney.com
