Michael McCarthy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 22, 1965. He is a record producer and has been recording music since 1984.
McCarthy has worked with a range of acts. He has produced every Spoon album since Girls Can Tell and the latest album, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga as well as Patty Griffin's Children Running Through, Sound Team's "Movie Monster", and …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, The Features and The Sun.[1]
