A method of identifying the buccolingual dimension of a tooth by taking a second radiographic image at an angle of 90 degrees to the first. The technique is also useful for identifying the position of subgingival anomalies. Also called right-angle technique; SLOB rule, which stands for Same Lingual, Opposite Buccal.
