Milo

Wikipedia: Milo (bishop)

Milo was the Bishop of Reims (717-744), and Trier (717-744), as his uncle and his father, Saint Liutwin, had been before him.

When Charles Martel drove Rigobert from Reims, he replaced him with a warrior clerk named Milo. While bishop, Milo discharged a mission against the Vascones. He accumulated much of the riches of his dioceses. He later received Trier as well.

He resisted being replaced by Abel for a long time before he was finally deposed. He died, killed by a wild boar, in 753 or 758.
