Mimis Plessas (Greek: Μίμης Πλέσσας; born 1924) is one of the most significant modern Greek composers. He was born in Athens. In 1952 he started composing music and since then he has written music for over 100 Greek movies, Greek radio, theatre and TV. He has co-worked with notable Greek singers (such as Giannis Poulopoulos, Marinella etc) and lyricists.
He combined the traditions of entehno and laïkó with considerable success, creating a notable personal-style which became very popular. In 2001 he was honoured with the Gold Cross of the Order of the Phoenix.
