Minding My Own Business is a 13-part series designed to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs. It features ethnically diverse women who have successfully established their own companies. Entrepreneurs share their victories and failures and frankly discuss the effort and skills required for survival. Programs one through six address business planning, operating, and ongoing business, while other programs highlight particular types of businesses. The episode Minding My Own Business: The Retail Business explores a broad range of retail operations and examines the factors which make them successful. It provides practical guidance on key topics such as location, inventory control and markups, employee training, theft, market awareness, and management.
