The Danish Ministry of Social Welfare was created after the 2007 Folketing elections. It incorporates the previous Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of social Affairs, the Ministry of Family and Consumer Affairs, and parts of the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs. The current minister is Karen Ellemann. The ministry has been reduced to include only the ministries of the interior and of social affairs[1].
