Minolta Vectis

Wikipedia: Minolta Vectis

Minolta Vectis was the APS camera brand of Minolta SLR cameras were designated by the prefix Vectis S-. These cameras all use the Vectis V-lenses which are not compatible with Minolta's 35mm AF Dynax/Maxxum/Alpha lens system, and also not with the SR/MC/MD-lens-system. The V-mount lenses are difficult to mount on modern cameras to focus normally as the Flange focal distance of the V-mount APS system is only 38mm. Only the digital SLR-camera-body Minolta RD 3000 used the V-lenses too. Minolta did produce a lot of different small viewfinder cameras for the APS film system, all labeled Vectis. The Vectis Weathermatic was a waterproof zoom camera, while the Vectis 2000 was a compact camera.
