Mintaqah (Arabic: منطقة‎; plural manatiq Arabic: مناطق‎) is a term for a country subdivision used in Saudi Arabia and several other Arab countries. It is often translated as region or, in Saudi Arabia, as province. The literal meaning is simply "area."
