Biography

Portuguese fado singer Misia debuted in 1991 with a self-titled LP for EMI; signing to BMG, she resurfaced in 1994 with Misii Fado, followed in 1995 by Tanto Menos Tanto Mais. Garros dos Sentidos, a major hit throughout Europe, earned her first proper American release in 1998. Paixoes Diagonais followed a year later. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
