Miss Earth 2010, the 10th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant, was held at Vinpearl Land, Nha Trang, Vietnam on December 4, 2010.[1]
Eighty-four contestants from various countries and territories competed for the Miss Earth 2010 title.[2] At the conclusion of the competition, outgoing titleholder Miss Earth 2009, Larissa Ramos of Brazil crowned her successor Nicole Faria of India.[3][4] The event was broadcast live by STAR World, VTV, ABS CBN, Studio 23, The Filipino Channel, and other partner networks.[5]
The Miss Earth winner serves as the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations.[6][7]
The event was hosted by Oli Pettigrew, host of AXN's Sony Style program, along with Marie Digby and Jennifer Pham with Boyzone lead singer Ronan Keating as the guest performer.[8][9] Vietnamese diva Mỹ Linh performed her latest English single during the show.

Note: Unlike other pageants, there was no "runner-up" in Miss Earth 2010. Instead the titles of Miss Air, Miss Water, and Miss Fire are bestowed on the next three contestants with highest scores after the Miss Earth winner. In this case, the titles went to Miss Ecuador, Jennifer Pazmiño, Miss Thailand, Watsaporn Wattanakoon and Miss Puerto Rico, Yeidy Bosques, respectively.[2]
Note: The Carousel Productions has confirmed that Victoria Schukina is the new Miss Eath Air 2010 after Jennifer Pazmino (The original Miss Eath Air 2010 of Ecuador) has relinquished her crown due to marriage to his fiancee in February[11]

The talent competition took place in Ho Chi Minh City on November 9, 2010. Nicole Faria, from India, won the Miss Earth Talent 2010 after beating 17 other finalists. Miss India performed a graceful belly dance that combined Oriental and Middle Eastern style. The event raised VND100 million, which was donated to the HCM City Red Cross, to support flood victims in the central region.[12][13]

The National Costume competition took place in Sea-Links Resort, Phan Thiết (city) on November 13, 2010. Marina Kishira, from Japan, won the Best in National Costume at Miss Earth 2010 after beating other contestants.[14][15]

The Best in Swimsuit was held on November 20, 2010 in Phu Yen.[19][20] At the show, Miss Earth's organizing board offered Phu Yen Province People's Committee VND500 million (US$25,000) to support flood victims. Miss Vietnam Luu Thi Diem Huong won the Best in Swimsuit.[21][22]

Miss Earth 2010 was held in Vietnam. The announcement was made in a ceremony at the Legend Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 28, 2010.[5]
The delegates from various countries arrived in Vietnam on November 4, 2010 and participated in a range of activities covering HCM City, Phan Thiet, Hoi An and Nha Trang. The delegates attended a press conference and various environmental activities in HCM City from November 4–13. The delegates travelled to Phan Thiet and joined environmental activities and a festival to advertise Vietnam’s sports from November 15–17. In the ancient town of Hoi An, they competed in Miss Ao Dai, attended the Earth Hour and the Lantern Festival, to call for fuel saving and natural resource protection from November 17–19. The delegates went back to Nha Trang for charity works, cycling, street cleaning, and met with the local residents to talk about environmental protection and participated in various environmental activities, and in preparation for the finale night.[37][38]
