Plot

Over 78,000 fans crowded the stadium to watch Game 4 of this World Series. Both the New York Giants and the Cleveland Indians began this match absolutely determined to win. The Giants' pitchers Wilhelm, Liddle, Grissom and Antonelli performed especially well, as did the Indians' pitchers Narleski, Newhouser, Mossi and Garcia. The Giants' Rhodes and the Indians' Smith, Wertz and Majeski all hit home runs. Willie Mays played an outstanding game, as did Dusty Rhodes. Though many had expected the Indians to win since they had won 111 games during the regular season, the Giants managed an upset, eventually winning this series. ~ Elizabeth Smith, All Movie Guide
