Plot

The Los Angeles Dodgers made it to the World Series in 1959 by defeating Milwaukee in a playoff game to play against the Chicago White Sox. Sandy Koufax, Johnny Podres, Gill Hodges, Larry Sherry, John Roseboro, and Duke Snider played for the Dodgers. The White Sox had Nellie Fox, Luis Aparicio, and Early Wynn on their team. The Dodgers lose the first game 11-0, but win the next five to take home the championship. This video combines interviews and film clips to retell the story of the World Series of 1959. ~ Linda J.
