Bluegrass musician Mo Canada took up the guitar at the age of 13, and after only about a year of playing, he recorded his debut album, Stoney Lonesome (1996), which featured such stars as Tony Rice, Rickie Simpkins, and Ronnie Simpkins, and earned positive reviews in bluegrass magazines. He took his time preparing another album, writing many original compositions. Finally, after ten years, in October 2006 he released his second album, Grassoline, on which he was joined by Rice, Rickie Simpkins, Randy Kohrs, Phil Leadbetter, Kevin Light, Darrell Webb, Chad Light, Scott Vestal, Taro Inoue, Raymond McLain, JP Mathes, and his father, Ed Canada. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
