Biography

The Moggs began gigging sporadically throughout the Bay Area around 1995. The shows built a devoted following for the duo's noisy indie rock, but it was quite awhile before the band released anything on record. A weird trajectory, but it seemed to suit Miss Minor (drums/vocals) and Sir Plus (guitar/vocals), as it let them craft the eventual White Belt Is Not Enough LP on their own time, and own terms. When it finally appeared in August 2005 via Absolutely Kosher, it was revealed to be a blistering record with nods to past rockers like Royal Trux and Unwound. The Moggs embarked on an extensive nationwide tour -- their first -- and looked forward to spreading the loud duo gospel. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide
