Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam is the current Chief Minister of the state of Malacca in Malaysia. He has been in office since December 1999. Mohd Ali is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), the largest party in the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition. In 2009, Ali Rustam tried be to be a candidate for deputy president of UMNO but was accused of corruption and was taken off the list.
